Bisque feature enhancements
Bisque version 0.5.4 was released 12/6/2013.
Image service updates
- Increased processing speed with parallelized processing of all operations
- Decreased response time by optimizing file system and cache access
- Improved speed of information and metadata retrieval operation
- Improved access to very large TIFF files (tens of gigabytes and hundreds of thousands of TIFF directories)
- New operations: pixel counter, rearrange dimensions, thresholding, gamma, 3D interpolation, superpixels segmentation, flip mirror and rotation guessing based on EXIF, image transforms (space: fourier, wavelet, chebyshev, etc. color: HSV, etc,), filters (edges, colors)
- Testing suite covering most operations
New feature service
- Added new service to compute image and graphical object feature descriptors supporting more than 100 descriptors
User interface
- Slightly improved image annotation allowing complex annotations
- Improved map widget reading data from both user annotations and EXIF
- Improved main toolbar with simply templated resource creation
Modules
- Nuclear Detector is 100X faster, fully CPU parallelized and uses GPU
if available - Nuclear Detector now supports any 4D image sizes (processed 26GB image
