Location:

Goal

Requirements and Communication as an iPlant team
The focus of this workshop is to provide an overall understanding of the following concepts:

  1. Mutual understanding of the roles we play in iPlant and how we can best interact with one another and communicate needs of the community.
  2. Mutual understanding of the process by which requirements are developed once scope is determined.
  3. Crash course in leading a more focused requirements gathering workshop.
  4. Discussion of how to best capture the requirements that come from the community, ensuring preservation of details of importance.

Attendees should leave with an understanding of how the core/et interaction will work and also a template to fall back upon when dealing with working groups in gathering requirements. Overall, the hope is that everyone will be able to better focus their energies and efforts leading to better communications and interactions, as well as a more focused approach to the development lifecycle at iPlant.
