Homework 6 Linux CLI- Nicholas Stout

The Package I installed is called boxes. Boxes is a package that allows you to draw an image by entering the name of an animal, character, or event, along with that image you have the option to write the text that makes it seem the image is talking or it is representing what is happening in the image.

The reason I choose to install this package was that I had tried to install other packages but kept getting an error that I was unable to work around but after talking to Emmanuel he was able to help me install what I was missing. I tried out many different packages but this one was the most interesting to me because I Like how you can choose from various images and but in word or phrase you want. I also found it to be simple and easy to use.

echo- has the output say the words or phrases you type in double-quotes. boxes- calls the package you installed. nuke- calls an image of a nuke going off, you can change the word nuke to anything you want to see a different image. c- at the end of the line is the positioning you want the words or phrase to be. So in this case I chose the center but you can choose r or l just like you can in a word doc.

Here is another screenshot I made as an example.

Class Assignment:

First I download the files from the link given in the slides. After that I then cd into the directory. once in the directory I then used the command unzip to unzip the files. the last thing I did was use the command df but that didn't work so I had to use du which allowed me to view the files in order.

Now I downloaded cowsay and played around with it.
