Midterm -- Predicting Plant performance

Each team will submit to: EvalAI: Evaluating state of the art in AI

Goal: Form a team that will win the MLCA2021 competition!

Midterm assignment:

  • Submit your prediction(s) to EvalAI: Evaluating state of the art in AI

  • GitHub Repo and/or CyVerse Data Store containing:

    • Code (cleaning data, loading data, running models, etc.)

    • Model

    • Model weights

    • Hyperparameters

    • Evaluation metrics

    • README that describes of how model was trained, tested, validated

    • Instructions for someone to use your code, model, and modify/retrain with more data

  • Read NCBI - WWW Error Blocked Diagnostic and for each rule, write a paragraph about how your team abided (or not) by each rule.

  • Sections on:

    • Lessons learned

    • Technologies learned

    • Methodologies learned

    • Acknowledgements (who and what helped your team along the way)

  • If your team is in the top 6 of the competition, you get an automatic “A” for the midterm (and donuts and carrots/hummus from Nirav)

  • Bonus:

    • Containers for code

    • Notebooks for running code and showing plots

    • If you don’t submit a teammate evaluation you will receive no points for the midterm

      • Submit draft GitHub repo and documentation for review/feedback to Nirav and Eric

    • 10/25/21:

        • Post rankings on your Team Page
