Undergraduate Researcher - Pauli Lab
The Pauli lab is seeking to hire a part-time undergraduate researcher. The duties are highly varied with the primary responsibility of the position being to develop machine learning (ML) algorithms for plant phenotyping applications. This includes, but is not limited to: labeling, training, and model deployment. This will be done under the supervision of graduate students and postdoctoral associates. Additionally, the candidate will attend bi-weekly meetings to give project updates.
Requirements:
Experience with Python and libraries such as Numpy/Pandas/TensorFlow/Keras/PyTorch
Familiarity with high performance computing (HPC)
Ability to work in both team and independent settings
Strong communication skills
Detail-oriented in accomplishing tasks
Duties:
Label 2D image data and 3D point cloud data
Coordinate, track and monitor ML model training
Document and report on ML model performances
Ensure adequate deployment of ML models
Work with graduate students and postdoctoral associates
