iPG2P Steering Committee Minutes
April 20, 2010; 1 to 2 pm CDT
Present: Steve Goff, Nicole Hopkins, Chris Jordan, Chris Myers, Dan Kliebenstein, Doreen Ware, Jeff White, Ruth Grene, Tom Brutnell, Steve Welch, Karla Gendler
The meeting was convened at 1pm CST and there was some general discussion to allow time for late arrivals to dial in.
Item 1: Review Action Items
- Tabled until next meeting: All to read terms of Phenome Network Agreement and provide feedback to Goff and Stanzione

Item 2: CI Development Update

The Discovery Environment was opened up to iPG2P's Steering Committee last Wednesday, April 14. There have been no updates to the UI for the. CI Development has focused on defect corrections or the current release and planning and design work for the Q2 release. With defect correction, none of the bugs that have been reported have not mapped to an issue already known to the group. However, there have been some edge case scenarios of people using the UI in ways that were never anticipated (i.e. hitting save 5 times in a row). Currently, Nicole, Monica and Bernice are working to improve the look and feel and user experience of the current DE. Training materials are also being developed for the DE. Moving forward, development will focus on the reintroduction of perspectives along with window management. Implementation of the UHTS workflow will begin on April 27th. - Discovery Environment Demo - Nicole Hopkins
Hopkins demonstrated the Technology Preview Release of the Discovery Environment that can be found by following the link here: http://qa5.iplantc.org/. It is important to realize that this is a preview release and by no means a final version. It is meant to highlight some of the foundational architecture that has been built.
