Meeting Agenda
We have developed a prototype that allows scientists to browse phylogenetic trees with up to 500,000 taxa. We would like to demonstrate this prototype and make it available to you for use within iPlant. To familiarize yourself with the prototype and to explore its current features, you can downloaded it from: https://pods.iplantcollaborative.org/wiki/display/iptol/Large+Tree+Viewer
We are now at a point where we can add features to the prototype, and would like to make sure that the features we add support real scientific needs. In this spirit, we want scientific "use cases" to drive our selection. We welcome you to discuss current and future use cases, and the features that will be required to support them.
A key enhancement we have planned is linking the visualization to other types of data. We are very interested in the kinds of metadata your use cases would require, and how you would like to see them displayed.
