Agenda

1) iPlant 2010 Meeting – Tree Reconciliation poster. Andrew Lenards prepared a poster that describes the proposed workflow for the the tree reconciliation service. The poster was well attended and both Sheldon and Andy were engaged in a lot of discussion. In general, the conference had a positive tone. There were some skeptics but also a lot of positive feedback, especially about the clarification on what is going on with the grand challenge projects. [Download the poster...]

2) A subversion (svn) repository has been set up for the TR working group. The purpose of the repository is to maintain version control on software and infrastructure associated with the tree reconciliation service. See here for details...

3) Proposal to promote the tree reconciliation service prototype to an iPlant "incubator project" (Sheldon McKay and Sonya Lowry)

• What is an incubator project?
  • Collaboration between working group, engagement team and iPlant's core software and core services teams.
  • Accelerated development time line; leverage core iPlant manpower in addition to engagement team.
  • Concurrent development of user interface, web service components and analysis pipeline.
  • Current bottlenecks and path forward

4) Discussion of tree visualization requirements (Karen Cranston, Working group)
