Overview:
- Scope:Â
- Develop required ontology resources for the communication of tree reconciliation analysis results.
- Initial ontology is in OBO format, this is the format required for import into the controlled vocabulary tables in the TR database
- Later ontology development in OWL format, this is the format required for use with NEXML, and allows for integration of the ontology in semantic web infrastructure.
- Deliverables:
- Tree Reconciliation Ontology (TRON)
An OWL formatted tree_reconciliation ontology. This will be referred to internally as TRON and will have the TRON namespace, but will be called tree reconciliation ontology to avoid unnecessary confusion with prior art. - Example use of TRON ontology in NEXML representation of reconciled treesÂ
- TRON Manuscript
Manuscript announcing the available and describing the use of the tree reconciliation ontology. - iPlant TRON Ontology Service
