Overview:
Scope:
Develop required ontology resources for the communication of tree reconciliation analysis results.
Initial ontology is in OBO format, this is the format required for import into the controlled vocabulary tables in the TR database
Later ontology development in OWL format, this is the format required for use with NEXML, and allows for integration of the ontology in semantic web infrastructure.
Deliverables:
Tree Reconciliation Ontology (TRON)
An OWL formatted tree_reconciliation ontology. This will be referred to internally as TRON and will have the TRON namespace, but will be called tree reconciliation ontology to avoid unnecessary confusion with prior art.Example use of TRON ontology in NEXML representation of reconciled trees
