Sheldon – Various groups are working on generating gene tree and species tree, we need to focus on what happens afterwards, what value added analysis people wand and how it fits in the framework.

Review 1KP Meeting deliverables, agenda and Status

ACTION: The agenda for the meeting should be completed and posted by Wednesday 11/18/09.
Sheldon – Various groups are working on generating gene tree and species tree, we need to focus on what happens afterwards, what value added analysis people want and how it fits in the framework.
There are design decisions to be made, there are many ways to present the data to users; look at how to navigate the data.
Jim – we need to look at how to link genes to species.
Sheldon – In the initial design phase we should strongly recommend use of the same convention to link gene to species, we should have a consistent way to do it. Michael – We will need a similar language at some point.
Sheldon – I will check in with Todd and Jim on a daily basis starting on Wednesday. At the meeting it will be a presentation more than a mock-up, this will help the engagement team come up with a better product.
Michael – The meeting is a week from today, who is handling the logistics of the meeting? I would like to make sure that none of the tactical items fall through the crack.
Sheldon – Danielle Wilson and been working with Mary Margaret at iPlant on the meeting.
ACTION: Michael will follow up with Danielle about the meeting logistics.
