Ecosystem scale NPP responses in complex terrain

Ecosystem scale NPP responses in complex terrain

Background

The primary focus of this research is to compare above ground biomass/carbon (AGB/AGC) across an elevation and landscape formation driven gradient of water and energy availability. AGB is the spatially distributed response variable of micro-site climate, water, and energy mediated by topographic modified metrics, e.g. slope, aspect, curvature, and catchment area. Additional factors such as soil type and soil depth, time since disturbance, and ecotype are also critical co-variates which must be accounted for.
