Opening the Preferences settings window

Click  at the top right of the window and then click Preferences:

Changing preferences

• Email me when my analysis status changes

Click Notify me by email when my analysis status changes to receive or stop receiving email notifications when the status of an analysis changes to completed or failed. This is useful when you want to track the status of your analyses while outside of the DE. For more information on notifications, see Viewing and Deleting Notifications.

• Email me when my URL import status changes

You can stop or start receiving an email when the status of an imported data item changes. By default, this option is enabled. To stop receiving notification about your URL import status changes, clear the checkbox. For information using URL import, see Uploading and Importing Data Items Within the DE.

• Remember last file path for Apps

By default, each time you select an input file when submitting an analysis, you browse to navigate to the folder containing the input files. Click Remember last file path for Apps to have the folder path automatically display the last used folder. This is useful when the folder for your input files is buried several layers down from your default home folder or you often use the same input file folder.

• Save Session

Click Save Session to automatically reopen all open windows or apps from the last DE session the next time you log in to the DE. If disabled (the default), all open windows are closed and any saved data is discarded when you log out of the DE.

• Display warning about wait times for submitting HPC apps

Because HPC apps can sit in the Agave queue for much longer than other analyses submissions, this setting by default reminds you about the wait time. You can turn off the prompt by disabling the checkbox here.

Changing the default analysis output folder

By default, when you submit an analysis, the output results and log files are saved to a new subfolder under your personal Workspace folder. You can change your default analysis output folder preference here or change the analysis output folder on a case by case basis when you submit the analysis.

1. Click in the Default analysis output folder field.
2. Click Browse to save analyses to a different output folder by default.

Changing keyboard shortcuts for opening and closing windows

Keyboard shortcuts can be used and changed for opening and closing main windows in the DE.

To change a default keyboard shortcut, click in the field and change the alphanumeric character, and then click Done.

Restoring the default Preferences settings

To restore all preferences to the default settings, click Restore Defaults and then click Done.
